Choosing the right size – important notes
How to measure your dog, back length (measurement A)
To ensure the best possible fit, please pay special attention to the following measurements:
- Measurement A (back length) is the most important measurement. Measure from the withers to the base of the tail.
- Measurement C (chest circumference) is also important. For this jacket, it is measured approximately 5 cm behind the dog’s front legs. The size chart shows the length of the adjustable waist strap.
- Measurement B (neck circumference) is especially important for dogs with a heavier build or a thick coat, to ensure the neck opening is sufficiently roomy.
When trying the jacket on your dog, it is important to put the leg bands on to ensure that the rear section stays firmly in place and does not push forward when the dog moves. The fabric stretches about 14% to allow complete freedom of movement.
At the bottom of this page, you’ll find a separate size chart with example breeds and tested sizes. Please note that this chart is intended as a guideline only. Always compare your dog’s own measurements with the size chart — and remember that back length (Measurement A) is the most critical measurement.

A premium jacket with a great design. Stays in place extremely well during every activity, even on my two very slim female Border Collies and even without the leg bands! The collar makes the jacket highly versatile and, most importantly, it keeps its wearer’s neck warm. The drawstring hood keeps snow from getting inside the collar, ensuring that the jacket stays dry and warm on long walks and on the car ride home. My dogs also seem happy with the jacket: it doesn’t crease or slide down one side, and it holds its place even when my dogs play with each other. The jacket’s design is really great for allowing natural movement because it doesn’t restrict movement in any way but still offers great coverage for the big muscles, keeping them nice and warm. Snow, water and dirt don’t seem to stick to or be absorbed by the surface material at all. A state-of-the-art product that I recommend warmly!

A five-star review just doesn’t seem enough for this jacket – it deserves ten out of ten! It beats the many, many jackets that I’ve had for my dogs over the years. My older dog suffers from spondylosis, and this has been a next-level product for keeping his back warm. I am especially happy with how snugly it fits, keeping cold air from getting under the jacket even at the back. The jacket stays put like it was glued on, even without the leg bands, and it doesn’t keep sliding from one side to another like many other jackets do. The leg bands are good to have when dogs are running and playing hard. This jacket fits my dog like a glove, and all I have to do is slip it on: no adjusting needed.
The jacket is warm without being too heavy, and, what’s best, even though the lining is made of technical fleece, it doesn’t cause Heka’s coat to get the least bit static 😊 And that surface material… You have to feel it to believe how great it is. It’s so wonderfully soft and stretchy, and it doesn’t harden, even in freezing temperatures ❄️ This jacket is worth every cent!
Clothing that promotes my dogs’ well-being and supple muscles is a matter dear to my heart. Anything I put on them must fit really well, enable complete freedom of movement and also remain firmly in place. The ProWarmer is all this, and on top of it, it’s Finnish design ❤ Even my mother, who is a seamstress, was stunned when she felt the jacket. With all these features, I can only imagine the amount of product development this must have taken – designing and making dog jackets takes some serious work. The ProWarmer is an example of every little detail turning out better than well 💜

After just over a week of use, I am absolutely in love with this jacket! My poodle is clipped short and gets cold easily, but we no longer have any trouble staying warm even at -15°C. The material stays soft even in a hard frost.
The jacket fits even a slim dog well and stays put, even without the leg bands, when my dog is running free in the forest; I believe it’s the jacket’s design and wide waistband that ensure that it doesn’t twist and turn on the dog. Never once have I had to adjust the jacket during a walk.
A definite bonus is the long and warm collar that is soft and stretchy, but stays in place really well, even when worn up.
I believe this will be our first choice for windy and rainy autumn weather as well, when it’s crucial to keep my sporting dog warm before and after training sessions. With this jacket, all the big muscle groups are well covered. Thanks to its premium material, rain is no problem. And because the jacket is so breathable, I think it will work great even in warmer weather.
